For Immediate Release: October, 2020 HOLLYWOOD FEMALE DIRECTOR HEADS EAST Los Angeles Director/Producer Lale Arpaci (MTV's “Ridiculousness”) Heads to North Carolina to Direct for YouTuber “Mr. Beast,” Google’s “Near Me” Ad Campaign & “Facing Race” Documentary for Race Forward

Award winning director/producer Lale Arpaci, well established on the west coast, has commanded the attention of YouTube's second-fastest growing personality and 2020’s Streamy Award Winner of the Year “Mr. Beast,” whose home base is Greenville, North Carolina, for whom she recently hopped coasts to direct several productions, which all became the #1 trending viral videos on the platform and collectively garnered over 300M views.

She was also awarded a short-form documentary project by the organization Race Forward about local folk in Raleigh fighting for change against racial injustice. During this time Lale Arpaci was selected as one of 4 individuals to direct Google's “Near Me” advertising campaign.

“Mr. Beast,” a.k.a. Jimmy Donaldson, is a mere 22 years old and spent his formative years growing his fanbase and figuring out how to monetize the platform to develop his channel into a philanthropic, but vastly entertaining enterprise.  His site boasts nearly 55 million subscribers and is closing in on some 8 billion views.  The recent videos Arpaci directed for him include “I Bought the World's Largest Firework ($600,000)” which was shot in the desert near Las Vegas; “I Adopted Every Dog in a Dog Shelter” which actually re-homed pooches to many local residents in Atlanta through creative billboard placement and other promotions, 2 episodes of “Would You Rather,” his first foray into the game show world, and “I Spent 1M on Lottery Tickets and WON,” a 3-part video series shot in several different locations.

In September, Arpaci submitted the winning proposal to direct a new short documentary for “Facing Race,” the largest inter-generational and multicultural conference on racial justice in the U.S., which debuted at its conference in Raleigh on November 10, 2020.  For the documentary, she interviewed and followed everyday citizens whose lives have long been connected to racial justice, and she captured relevant images from events and landmarks around town.

Arpaci was also one of four directors selected to direct scenes for Google's “Near Me” advertising campaign, which aired on network TV including during NBC's Saturday Night Live. She has been approached to direct another commercial for Google’s 2021 Local Businesses campaign. Arpaci is also set to direct a branded content piece for Mercedes Benz.

Lale also produced CJ Donaldson’s (another prominent YouTuber known as “Mr. Bro”) his Among Us video.

A producer for 7 seasons of MTV's highest-rated show “Ridiculousness” hosted by Rob Dyrdek, Arpaci also recently field produced/directed “Up and Vanished” for Oxygen after producing both seasons of its number one show, “In Ice Cold Blood.” Earlier she served as both supervising producer and director for a series of celebrity interviews for USA Today, featuring names like Jessica Alba, Paris Hilton, Leonard Nimoy, Brooke Shields and more.

Lale was the sole writer producer casting director for the after show of WGN’s “Outsiders,” selling the pilot to series. Lale also directed the Official Music Video for Lucinda Williams' “Protection.”

While Arpaci's path hasn't been an easy one, she has always proceeded with drive and determination, never concerned about the normal obstacles most find when pursuing entertainment careers; much less those facing women.  She simply forges ahead through all the hills and valleys as though she belongs... and she does. * * * * * * * *
